Snickers called from Millinocket, Maine, where he and four other thru-hikers are resting at the Appalachian Trail Cafe and anticipating their final day on the trail. The weather looks great for climbing Mt. Katahdin tomorrow!

Seven thru-hikers (Snickers, Nets, Ernest P., Samo, Kafka, Speed, and Veedub) plus various family members hiked to the top of Mt. Katahdin together today. They had a wonderful time. It’s a rugged hike with places where you have to pull yourself up onto boulders using iron bars they’ve inserted into the mountain to help. They report that it was a beautiful clear day for the hike; the wind is ferocious, but the view from the top of Mt. Katahdin is awesome (especially when you've been hiking six months to get there!)

That's the end of the trail. Now the hikers have finished their adventure and achieved their goal.
