Snickers called from Crawford Notch, NH today. He's heading up Mt. Washington today. It's one of the tallest mountains on the entire trail, so there should be some great views.
Snickers called from Gorham, NH this morning. He ran into 40-50 mph winds and hail coming over Mt. Washington. He said it was impossible to even stand up in those winds on the downward slopes. He'll cross into Maine today or tomorrow.
Snickers' brother Dan met Snickers and the Pittsburgh Boys at the shelter, spent the night with them and hiked back to his car with them the next day. Then Dan and Snickers left for Boston to fly home for a Caribbean cruise next week.
Nets, Ernest P., Samo, and Speedo hitchhiked into North Woodstock, New Hampshire where they ran into 7000 people at a Christian Music Festival. The guys were offered jobs at the concessions and got to eat all they wanted while listening to music and waiting on folks. Michael W. Smith and the group D.C. Talk from Nashville were there and the guys enjoyed talking to them. After working two days the guys returned to the trail refreshed in more ways than one, and with a little more money to help them through.

After his vacation Snickers flew with his dad to Boston and drove to a hostel near Andover, Maine where he had left the trail before his trip. A few minutes later Nets and Ernest P. showed up at the hostel (without knowing that Snickers was there). I'd say that's pretty amazing -- it was quite a happy reunion for them! Now the three guys who started on the same day and have had various adventures, together and separate, are planning on ending on the same day, along with thru-hiker Samo from Marietta, GA.
